A major league D-Bag
I came across a video put up by this instigator. The Border Patrol is just doing their job trying to stop the flow of drugs and illegals into this country and this jackass thinks he is being clever with his video camera. I think the agents were very calm and patient with him for much longer than I would have.
It would have taken just a couple of times for me to tell him to get out of the car before I would have broken that glass and dragged him out by his ears. Just like what happened the second time he pulled this stunt.
This guy apparently gets off on this stuff. Check out his other video on Youtube.

14 bits of radio chatter:
I turned it off after just a few minutes. Couldn't stand it any longer.
Man, that dude is annoying. I had to fast forward after a couple minutes of him repeatedly saying, "I want to go on my way". Although I think the guy has a point, he's going about this all wrong. I was also quite surprised at how dumb those BP agents were. I'm sure not all of them are that way but wow. "Open up that there window and we'll give a looksies if you gots any drugs." I guess that's what happens when you have one moron arguing with 5 other morons over something so complicated as the constitution. I hope people from other countries don't watch that...
This guy needs to be moved out of the USA and never be allowed back!! I'll start the petition to evict his rear!

I feel for the guy slightly in that checkpoints have always been a grey area for LE. The supreme court has repeatedly said that they are legal as they are minimally intrusive, but there is a large part of me that says it is just wrong to be detained and searched on US soil while driving legally.
I do have a question regarding the later incident where the local police forcefully removed him from the vehicle. Does LE have the authority while you are stopped (ie checkpoint, traffic violation, etc) to require you to exit your vehicle? I assume they do...but am curious.
All the Alex Jones minions have their beat-off material for the day, I guess.
I just can't believe that the Border Patrol guys' boss didn't back them up. That's attrocious.
Personally, I think I'd have introduced Mr Maglite to Miss Window, then arrested him. I don't know the ins and outs of the law, but I imagine that he could at least have been done for failure to provied ID?
Asp to the window, Taser to the torso, charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct (otherwise known as pissed off the police) :)
That is some seriously impressive patience. I don't know how one person can embody annoyance so well.
to the busterH, yes if there is suspicion of weapons or narcotics, we can ask you to exit the vehicle, border patrol is fortunate to have dogs, and a positive indication by a dog is enough for law enf. to search the vehicle, and ask the driver and all of the occupants out of the said vehicle (supported by US supreme court on multiple occasions)
I presume the gent and the subjct of this post are one and the same ``

I didn't listen to the whole thing.
I've got mixed feelings based on what I did see. I really, really dislike the idea of checkpoints, and I think he's got a point--without specific probable cause, law enforcement shouldn't be allowed to detain and search. A search at a checkpoint is rarely going to meet my standard of 'probable cause'.
Sometimes we need assholes and provocateurs to help protect or restore our rights. I don't think he's the right guy to do it, but it needs to be done.
Here he is in the second video Johnnie talks about. This time the K9 alerts on the car. They order him out. He refuses. They smash the window and tase him.
In the age of YouTube, this will be a more common occurrence as people attempt to get their 15 minutes of fame.
Officers should expect to be confronted by people like Steve Anderson. Copwatch is another group that will confront officers and demand information and bait them into confrontations on video.
If you ignore your rights, they'll go away.
Again, the agents did their job by asking the question they were supposed to ask. Without any articulable specific reasonable suspicion, especially when it was pretty dang clear he was American, they should have let him go on his way.
I will give you this though, the guy is annoying as all heck. But that shoulda been evidence enough he was a typical American citizen.
